Dr. DeVore, one of Metro Detroit’s most respected gastroenterologists, leads our team at Providence Gastroenterology. Hour Detroit magazine consistently recognizes him as a "Top Doctor," and he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. DeVore’s expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive disorders is unmatched, and he is deeply committed to delivering the highest quality care to his patients. Dr. Sorser is a highly experienced gastroenterologist who earned his medical degree from St. George’s University. He completed his residency and fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Providence Hospital, followed by additional subspecialty fellowship training in therapeutic endoscopy at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

 

A respected member of the medical community, Dr. Sorser has been recognized as one of Hour Detroit magazine’s annual "Top Docs.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Neam Mahmood to Providence Gastroenterology in August 2025.

​

Dr. Mahmood earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and went on to complete her medical education at Ross University School of Medicine. She completed both her Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship training at Henry Ford Hospital – Providence.

Dr. Mahmood is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, always beginning her approach with kindness and compassion. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and staying active at the gym.​​​​​​

Dr. Ihab Kassab is a gastroenterologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive and liver diseases. His clinical interests include esophageal disorders, such as GERD, Barrett's esophagus, eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), and swallowing disorders, as well as inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis).

 

He performs a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD), esophageal dilation, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for Barrett's esophagus, ERCP, and capsule endoscopy.

 

Dr. Kassab completed his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital after serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Michigan, where he was involved in patient care, medical education, and clinical research. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented his research at national and international scientific meetings.

 

Dr. Kassab believes exceptional care begins with listening. He takes the time to understand each patient's concerns, explain diagnoses and treatment options in clear, understandable language, and develop personalized treatment plans that reflect each individual's goals and lifestyle. His philosophy is to combine the latest advances in gastroenterology with compassionate, patient-centered care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kassab enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is proud to care for patients throughout Novi and the surrounding communities as a member of Providence Gastroenterology.

Rachelle graduated from Michigan State University with her undergraduate degree and went on to attend Western Michigan University for Physician Assistant school. She graduated in 2014 and has since worked in the field of Gastroenterology. After taking a break from medicine to be a stay-at-home mom, Rachelle is excited to be back at work.

 

She enjoys spending time with her family and has a passion for all forms of exercise. Rachelle sees patients on Mondays and Wednesdays in our Novi office on behalf of Dr. Greer and Dr. Sorser. She looks forward to meeting and caring for all of her patients.

Riley completed her undergraduate degree in Dietetics from Central Michigan University. She then attended the University of Toledo Physician Assistant program, graduating in 2022. She is a member of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers (GHAPP).

 

Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, trying new recipes, and reading fiction. With a patient-centered approach, Riley is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. She looks forward to seeing you at our Novi office.
